Street Angel

This image was originally a test of skin colorization from a black-and-white photograph. I started with a photo of a woman in old-style clothing and began tinting her skin to a tan color, and her dress a slightly blue color. After this was finished I felt I needed to do more with it, so I found a stock photo of bird wings and added them to the woman. The hardest part of the image was creating the background scene. I used several stock photos of modern city streets, and through heavy manipulation, turned them into a dark, old-style street. I added lighting, shading, and the paved ground for completion.
